Before installing the partitions in your basement, we recommend applying type 2 sprayed urethane to avoid thermal bridges. If you are installing your walls before insulating, be sure to leave a one-inch gap between the foundation wall and the studs.

With a 2.5-inch application of Type 2 spray foam insulation, you will:

• ensure continuous insulation between the slab and rim joist
• perfectly seal your foundation against air leaks
• significantly reduce the risk of condensation compared to conventional insulation.

In addition, this:

• provide consistent thickness coverage for consistent performance
• allow for the passage of electrical wires
• make future modifications or additions easier
