About Us
Learn about Isolation Majeau, your trusted insulation contractor serving Greater Montreal and Lanaudière with decades of experience.
Isolation Majeau et frères began as a Majeau family business in 1967 under the name Isolation Laurentides. In 1992, one of the Majeau sons started a subsidiary under the name Isolation Majeau et frères, a name that has stuck with our business through the decades.
What started with a small crew and a single truck has grown into one of the region's most established insulation contractors, with teams working every day across Greater Montreal, the North and South Shores, and the Laurentians.
Today, IMF is part of the GNI family of insulation companies, which gives us the purchasing power, training resources, and technical support of a larger group while keeping the local relationships and accountability that built our reputation. Our estimators and crews are the same people our long-time clients know, and decisions about your project are made here, not in a head office somewhere else.

Gilles Majeau launched Isolation Laurentides and introduced his entire family – including his youngest son, Martin – to the intricacies of insulation.
Jean-Marc, one of Gilles’ sons, started up Isolation Majeau et frère.
Martin Majeau acquired Isolation Majeau et frère with Stéphane Goulet, an accountant who had been active in the thermal insulation sector for eight years.
The two associates continued to expand their business with the acquisition of Isolation LM, a company which had established itself at the end of the 90s as a leader of the insulation sector in Quebec. This moved Isolation Majeau to the forefront of the industry in Québec.
Between 1990 and 2000, Martin Majeau took part in several high profile projects, such as the insulation of the Bell Center, the Caisse de Dépôt et placement building and the Westin Hotel in Montréal.
Isolation Majeau acquired Isolation Lafrenière and Isolation Promax, those companies were well established in Lanaudière for more than 25 years.
Isolation Majeau became a division of Gestion Groupe GNI, the largest insulation company in Canada.
Between 1990 and 2000, Martin Majeau took part in several high profile projects, such as
the insulation of the Bell Center, the Caisse de Dépôt et placement building and the Westin Hotel in Montréal.

To build a better future for our planet, one customer at a time.

To provide homeowners and builders with the products and services they need to help reduce their carbon footprint and build safer, more energy-efficient and sustainable communities.

Insulation Majeau is part of the GNI group. We share five values across every company in the family that guide how we work:
Lead the Way |
We hold ourselves accountable for results. On your project, that means we own the outcome, from the accuracy of the quote to the performance of the finished work, and we set the standard to lead the industry. |
Elevate Others |
Good insulation work comes from skilled, respected people. We invest in training, certification, and a workplace where every crew member can do their best work. When a company cares for their people, that care shows up on the jobsite. |
Do The Right Thing |
Integrity means being honest and genuine. If your attic only needs a top-up instead of a full removal, we’ll tell you. If we find suspected vermiculite, we stop and tell you rather than bury it. Long-term trust is worth the effort. |
Deliver |
What we do, we are determined to do well. Safety and quality are non-negotiable: certified installers, verified thicknesses and densities, clean sites, and work that is right the first time, because insulation that will be hidden behind drywall for decades has to be done right the first time. |
Customer Obsessed |
We put you first, starting with listening. Drop sheets, sealed work zones, daily cleanup, straight answers, and a real person on the phone. The relationships we build are meant to outlast the project. |
